Why are most posts 1978-1983?
Much of the original content comes from the true crime archive of Ben Oakley, the founder of True Crime Lists. His expertise is 20th Century true crime, with a focus on the 1970s and 1980s.
How often is each post updated?
The project is added to weekly. A single post might be updated anywhere from a week to six months.
Do you triple-check the information for each date?
Yes. However, information on a particular story or case can change with new developments. We are not always aware of them. At the time of publication, the information is correct.
