December 3rd

On December 3rd in true crime, a brutal murder and necro killer in Texas, more murders, serial killers, anti-Chinese arrests, and cold cases.

1978

In Los Angeles, 20-year-old Leslie Long was raped and murdered by two men late in the evening. They held up the gas station where she worked then kidnapped her.

They drove Long to a deserted area where they raped her before shooting her multiple times.

It would go unsolved until 2015 when DNA technology linked former gang members; Neal Matthews, who was arrested, and Terry Moses, who was already serving a life sentence on a different charge.

1979

In England, Dennis Nilsen, AKA: The Muswell Hill Murderer, killed his second victim, a Canadian named Kenneth Ockendon.

During sexual intercourse, Nilsen became violent and strangled him to death. Dennis Nilsen is one of Britain’s most infamous serial killers. Some see him as the British version of Jeffrey Dahmer and in a lot of ways, the similarities are striking.

They both killed gay men and they made their first kill within five months of each other in 1978. Nilsen killed 15, Dahmer killed 17, and they both carried out necrophilia acts upon the bodies of their victims.

1980

In Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, 31-year-old Patsy Arlene Gaisior was abducted from a car park by two men.

Robert Andre Ruff and Frank Johnson kidnapped her at gunpoint before driving her away to a remote location where they raped and shot her dead before dumping her body in the Potomac River.

Both men were caught and found guilty of murder. Johnson confessed to the murder and testified against Ruff, who had denied the murder. Despite no remains ever being found, both men were convicted.

1981

In China, 67-year-old Tibetan dissident Lobsang Wangchuk was arrested after police found copies of a book he had written, entitled A History of Tibetan Independence.

He was initially sentenced to just a few years in prison but was later given a death sentence by the communist country. He had previously been arrested for his part in the Tibetan Uprising of 1959.

Wangchuk died from medical negligence and ill-treatment on November 4th 1987.

1982

In Washington State, 19-year-old Becky Marrero disappeared without a trace. She had last been seen leaving her motel room at South 168th Street and Pacific Highway South.

Despite no trace of her ever being found, she is suspected to have been murdered by Gary Ridgway, AKA: The Green River Killer. Marrero, along with three other missing women are listed on the official Green River Homicides list.

Ridgway was arrested in 2001 and sentenced to life in prison in 2003 after entering a plea bargain to plead guilty to 48 charges of murder.

1983

In rural Cleveland, Texas, 23-year-old marijuana dealer Marilyn Peters was raped and stabbed to death by William Hamilton Little.

He forced his way into her home and raped her before killing her, he then had sexual intercourse with her corpse, before leaving the residence and throwing the murder weapon over a bridge into a river.

He was arrested three days later and claimed the sex was consensual and that he stabbed her when she attacked him. An autopsy found she had been stabbed 19 times all over her body and had been penetrated after her death.

Little was sentenced to death and executed by lethal injection in Texas on June 1st 1999.
